I use it when my cordless Apple mouse needs charging. I wanted to purchase the Apple wired mouse but I don't think they make them any more. Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2019 Hats off to MacAlly for making several similar mice, any one of which would probably be a fine choice. The wire itself is no particular bother, and its 5-foot length makes it suitable for a wide range of computers. But they are both sturdy, aesthetically pleasing, useful mice that will stay connected(!). Getting one of these wired, scroll-wheel mice is a return to the days of yesteryear, and that's not too good.

Both mice are noticeably lighter than the Apple Bluetooth mouse, because they don't hold batteries. Both mice make a clicking sound: the Xmouse is louder. I used a digital caliper to confirm the numerical measurements for both mice as shown in the pictures the fact that the reference lines off to the sides are not in fact in the same scale as the images turns out not to mean anything. I prefer the greater tactile feedback of the Xmouse's wheel. The Icemouse3 wheel also has objectionable side-to-side (axial) play. The Icemouse3 has smaller treads in the center and surrounding plastic rims on the wheel. The former's scroll wheel looks like a little model car's tire, with tread wrapping around its edge. The Xmouse's scroll wheel has a bumpier action than the Icemouse3's. The Icemouse3 has a thinner midsection which makes my hand feel like it will cramp after holding it too long. Points of comparison: The Xmouse is wider in the hand and rises higher at the back for a more comfortable grip.
I compared this one, MacAlly's Xmouse, with the same company's Icemouse 3, and then returned the second one.
